Human, AI Technology, and Society Lab (HATS)

The Human, AI Technology, and Society Lab (HATS) studies how humans interact with AI, and the societal impacts of emerging technologies. 

If you are interested in working with us, please send Dr. Jia an email with your CV and a short description of your research interests. We are looking for both undergraduate and graduate students who are enthusiastic about our research directions.  

Dr. Jia is currently accepting PhD students through the PhD programs in both the Interdisciplinary Design and Media program in the College of Arts, Media and Design and the Computer Science Program in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences.
